Bat Speed Classes

Bat Speed Classes

These one hour classes are designed to use overload and underload techniques to create bat speed and refine their mechanics. We use Bratt Weighted bats for overload to build shoulder, forearm and wrist strength. The Underload quick stick bats are used to let your hands go as fast as they can through the zone and work on mechanics
Why is bat speed important?
There has been a shift over the past couple of years towards looking at stats such as exit velocity and bat speed. Your exit velocity correlates with your bat speed. Theoretically, on a ball that you “square up” your exit velocity is going to be higher if your bat speed is higher. For high school athletes, college coaches are looking at bat speed and exit velocity in the recruiting process.
We were very happy with the results we saw last year! Each kid saw an increase of at least 4 MPH on their bat speed. We have developed an even better program with different leadership this year and we are excited to see your child improve. Below are our testing results from last year by age group.

Class Schedule:

9 AM – 10 AM class on Saturdays (Starting January 26th)
7 PM – 8 PM class on Sundays (Starting January 27th)
